Time to Capture Hackney

There is still time to enter Hackney’s photographic trail competition and bag some big prizes.

If you enjoy getting out and about in Hackney, love to solve puzzles, or want to show off your photography skills, why not take up the Capture Hackney challenge for a chance to have fun and win prizes?

A £500 Olympus digital camera is up for grabs, as are tickets to a range of cultural venues in Hackney, a ‘Big Blimp’ light from Mathmos and a Shoot Experience hamper.

All you need to do is to download a competition map from www.hackney.gov.uk/capturehackney or pick one up from your local library, leisure centre or at Hackney Museum. Solve the clues, grab your camera, decide your route, and use your creativity to capture the destinations revealed. Then simply upload your photos by 31 October to be in with a chance of winning.

Capture Hackney is free and ideal for families, young people, old people or visitors to the borough. You don’t need to be a professional photographer or use a high-tech camera to take part – your mobile phone will do.

The judges will be looking for creative, original images that really capture the spirit of Hackney. A selection of entries will also be displayed at an exhibition to be held at Hackney Museum later this year.
