Tenants get a tree helping hand from Hackney Homes

Sometimes residents can find it difficult to maintain the tree in their private garden, so to help, Hackney Homes is offering free tree maintenance to disabled tenants and tenants aged over 65.

By contacting our local housing offices or the Estate Environment Service, eligible tenants will receive a home visit from a Grounds Maintenance Manager to assess the tree and discuss any work required.

Trees are especially important to urban areas like Hackney and we want to make sure that they are well maintained, which is why we are offering maintenance to tenants who find it more difficult.

Trees help improve our surroundings and quality of life, so if you see a tree in a communal area on a Hackney Homes estate that you believe requires maintenance, contact the Estate and Environment Service who will arrange to visit the site for an assessment.
