Strike action for teachers in England on 5 and 7 July

Town Hall 1

The National Education Union (NEU) has announced two additional strike days in schools in England on 5 and 7 July.

Many schools may be closed or functioning with reduced capacity on these dates.

Each school decides individually whether they will be able to stay open or partially open.

Some schools will close, while others could remain open to particular groups, school years or vulnerable pupils.

Your school will let you know directly if affected. If your school is open, it’s important that you still send your child to attend.

You can find the latest information about which schools are affected, where and when we know them, on the Hackney Council’s website, at education.hackney.gov.uk/school-closures.
