Send us your suggestions for Cabinet Question Time

Council chamber

A special meeting on 14 November provides an opportunity to set the agenda and focus on the topics that matter to you.

Cllr Rita Krishna, Hackney's Cabinet Member for Children’s Services will be appearing at a special Cabinet Question Time event.

The Question Time sessions are organised by the Council's Overview and Scrutiny Board, a cross-party group of councillors who question the Mayor and Cabinet Members on council services and resident issues.

Suggestions are welcomed on any issues that the Board can quiz Cllr Krishna about; from children’s centres, schools and youth service provision, through to children’s social care.

The Board will focus on questions relating to strategy and policy rather than individual cases which are more suited to other forums and meetings of the Council.

To make your suggestion tweet Hackney Living using the hashtag #HackneyQT, email scrutiny@hackney.gov.uk, call 020 8356 3029 or write to:

This is an opportunity to raise the questions that matter to you about local government in Hackney (please note that national and international politics are not suitable topics for this meeting).

Members of the public are welcome to attend the public meeting on 14 November at Hackney Town Hall from 7pm. If your question or topic is chosen for debate we'll let you know the answer and provide a link to the minutes of the discussion.

To find out more about what topics are discussed at these events read the minutes of the last Cabinet Question Time with Cllr Krishna, held on 15 December 2011.
