Residents invited to have their say on pharmaceutical services in Hackney

A review of pharmacy services across Hackney

Residents are being asked to help shape and improve the future of pharmaceutical services across Hackney as part of a review.

The review looks at the key health needs in the borough, the number of existing community pharmacies and how accessible they are for local communities.

People are invited to share their views in an online survey which runs until Friday 17 December 2021.

Cllr Chris Kennedy, Cabinet Member for Health, Adult Social Care and Leisure
A pharmacy is an important part of our healthcare system and can be a first point of call if we are concerned about our own health or the health of a loved one. So, it’s incredibly important that we regularly assess if the needs of our residents are being met.

I would urge everyone to get involved and respond to this important survey, to help us shape the future of pharmacy provision in the borough.
Cllr Chris Kennedy, Cabinet Member for Health, Adult Social Care and Leisure

Residents can tell us what they think by completing our online questionnaire.

Paper copies of the questionnaires are also available at GP surgeries, pharmacies, and libraries.

Paper copies are available from the Public Health team on 020 8356 7100, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

The deadline for completion is midnight on Friday 17th December 2021.

Feedback will be used to help develop a draft of the City and Hackney's Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment which will then be available for public consultation in 2022.
