Haggerston Community Centre, managed by Hackney Homes, is welcoming private bookings from residents, community groups, and small and large businesses.

Haggerston residents have been enjoying the modern community centre, on Lovelace Street, Hackney, since its official opening in November 2014. The redesigned community centre was funded by London and Quadrant working in partnership with Hackney Council.

At only an 18 minute walk away from the City, the centre is well positioned and serviced with a good supply of bus routes and the London Overground in close proximity.

The contemporary building, provides a host of bright multi-functional rooms ideal for corporate training sessions, office workspace and private functions. The grand main hall, located on the ground floor next to a state of the art kitchen, lends itself well as an art exhibition or wedding reception space and comfortably caters for 100 visitors.

Local businesses and community groups are taking up the opportunity that this reasonably priced venue presents and many of the rooms are now used to hold regular yoga classes, knitting groups and specialist training workshops.

Tina, a local Hackney Homes resident, said: "It's a nice modern venue which I use to run my weekly fruit and veg stall and over 50s club from."

The redeveloped community centre is an asset to the community and it is fantastic that Hackney Homes is able to offer residents and businesses access to such a great multifunctional space.
