Zoë Garbett is the new Mayor of Hackney
The Green Party candidate is elected with 46.9% of the vote.
Zoë Garbett has been elected as the new Mayor of Hackney following yesterday’s Mayoral election.
The Green Party candidate received 35,270 votes out of a total of 76,187, with a 40.98% turnout.
She becomes Hackney’s first Green Party mayor.

The Green Party has also won overall control of Hackney Council, winning 42 of 57 seats available.
The Labour Party won nine seats and the Conservative Party six seats.
