Statement on a flat fire at Fellows Court, Dunloe Street in Hackney
We were very concerned to hear about the fire that broke out on Friday evening in a flat at Fellows Court. We know this incident has caused worry in the community, and our thoughts go to all those who have been affected.
We would like to thank the London Fire Brigade for bringing the fire under control, and all the emergency services and Council officers who have worked hard to provide support to the residents impacted.

On Friday evening, 27 February 2026, a flat fire broke out in a split-level maisonette on the 11th and 12th floors of Fellows Court in Hackney.
All the residents of Fellows Court were swiftly evacuated as the firefighters tackled the flat fire.
The majority were able to return to their homes Friday night. The Council arranged emergency hotel accommodation where required.
