How to get involved Circular Economy Week 2025
To mark Circular Economy Week, which takes place from Monday 20-Sunday 26 October 2025, we’re hosting and supporting a range of events across Hackney to help you reduce, re-use and repair.
Fixing Factory repair session
It’s International Repair Day! Come join the Hackney Fixing Factory for a Repair Day Community Repair special, where they will be supporting people to change their laptop operating systems from Windows 10 to Linux! Booking is required.

Wilton Estate repair cafe
Broken toaster? Wobbly bike? Torn jumper? Don't bin it, fix it!
Join our free Repair Café in Hackney on Sat, 18th October, 12-4pm. Our volunteers can help with small electronic, bike & textile repairs.
Let's give your items a second chance! Pop by and let's get fixing.

Cargo bike launch at Chatsworth Road
Sunday 19 October, 11am-3pm
Come and try out the new cargo bike hire spot on Chatsworth Road at our launch event on Sunday 19 October, 11am-3pm. There will be live demonstrations about how to hire and use the bike, as well as the chance to try out the cargo bikes as a rider or passenger. You can also get your bike checked for free at the Dr Bike pop-up.
Dr Bike at North Church Terrace

Get your bike checked for free at the Dr Bike on Northchurch Terrace. Just turn up
Special Dr Bike for young people at The Edge Youth Hub
Free bike check, with minor repairs and parts included. Please note this is only for young people aged 10-19 (25 with SEND).
Fixing Factory repair session
Join the Community Repair event at Hackney's Fixing Factory, where you can fix, mend, and learn new skills in a fun and supportive environment!
First-come first-served only.
