To harness the #HackneySpirit being shown during the Coronavirus crisis, Hackney Council has created a website to engage communities and showcase all the amazing things still going on to keep us connected.

The new site contains links to online resources being created by organisations in Hackney and beyond to help support and entertain people during the pandemic. From workouts to art classes to educational advice, there is something for everyone.

The website, lovehackney.uk will also be home to the Life Under Lockdown project which invites residents to submit what they’ve been doing to stay creative during the lockdown. The project will eventually be curated by the Hackney Archives team as we look back on our resilience during this extraordinary time.

Cllr Chris Kennedy, Cabinet Member for Health, Adult Social Care and Leisure
Even though we are physically apart, we are coming together through this crisis, working together more than ever before. We can use this resource to help make sure our vulnerable are cared for, the impact of isolation is minimised and our pride in the borough is used to make us an even more cohesive community.
