New Millfields play area

Millfields play area 2

People are being asked to have their say on plans for a new play area in Millfields.

The plans, which were developed by Hackney Council and Clapton Park TMO based on initial consultation feedback from local residents, would see a former play on Millfields Estate, directly adjacent to Millfields Park, brought back to life so it can be used by estate residents and people in the park as well.

It would feature a section for toddlers and another section for older children, each with brand new play facilities, divided by a footpath into the Estate.

Cllr Feryal Clark, Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care, Leisure and Parks
Our residents have been telling us that they’d love to see play facilities in the southern part of Millfields so we’re delighted to be able to reveal these proposals for a new play area that will benefit both park users and Millfields Estate residents. I’d urge people to have their say on the proposals.

A consultation event, where people can have their say, will take place in the southern part of Millfields Park by the Millfields Estate play area on 27 September between 3pm and 6.30pm.

Otherwise people can have their say online at www.hackney.gov.uk/millfields-park.
