New car club bays open in Hackney
It’s now even easier for Hackney residents who want a cheap and environmentally friendly alternative to car ownership.
A second car club, City Car Club, has started operating in the borough. This adds to the ZipCar bays already in place and brings the total number of car club vehicles in Hackney to over 150.
Car club vehicles are available 24 hours a day seven days a week and can be booked by phone or online from £4.95 an hour, or £1.66 per hour if booked for 24 hours.

Car clubs are proving extremely popular, with more than 7,800 members in Hackney. If you drive less than 8,000 miles a year, using a car club could save you up to £3,500 a year on tax, insurance, parking permits, servicing and repairs.
