London Fields Lido and West Reservoir Centre to reopen

londonfieldslido-2-2

London Fields Lido and West Reservoir Centre are set to reopen from Monday for pre-booked swim sessions after being closed during the national lockdown.

Social distancing measures will be in operation at each facility, with swimmers encouraged to arrive ready to swim.

At West Reservoir, swimmers hoping to take to the water should be experienced open water swimmers, due to the additional challenges presented when swimming at lower temperatures at the moment.

A cold water briefing will be given to all visitors and staff will be on hand to offer advice on how to swim safely at colder temperatures.

Ajman Ali, Group Director, Neighbourhoods and Housing, said: “We know how much people have missed outdoor swimming during the lockdown, so we’re delighted to be able to welcome them back.

“As with last year, social distancing measures will be in place at both facilities to help keep people safe.”
