London Fields filtering scheme: public meeting announcement

Hackney Town Hall

PLEASE NOTE, THE COUNCIL HAS ANNOUNCED IT WILL UNDERTAKE A FULL PUBLIC CONSULTATION IN JANUARY, READ THIS FOR THE UPDATE

A planned London Fields ward forum meeting at the Queensbridge Community Centre on Thursday 12 November – at which the London Fields filtering scheme was due to be discussed with residents and concerned parties – was called off because the venue was unfortunately too small to accommodate the high numbers in attendance.

For that reason, and due to the scale of interest in the project, we have decided instead to hold a public meeting in the assembly rooms of Hackney Town Hall which has a capacity of more than 400 seated. This will take place at 7pm on 14 December at Hackney Town Hall, Mare Street, E8 1EA (Town Hall entrance on Reading Lane).

This meeting will present an opportunity for councillors and senior officers from the Council’s Streetscene service to answer questions and concerns from the public.

For those unable to attend on 14 December, a webpage of frequently asked questions has been posted on the Council’s website. Further questions can be raised with the Council’s Head of Streetscene, Andy Cunningham, via the following email address: andy.cunningham@hackney.gov.uk.

Drop-in sessions planned for 8 and 15 December – which were advertised at the oversubscribed ward forum – have been cancelled due to the main meeting now taking place on 14 December.
