Hackney Fireworks Show 2015

THIS HAS NOW SOLD OUT

A stunning spectacle of colour and music is set to wow the borough in November with the return of the Hackney Fireworks Show.

Tickets for the display go on sale on Tuesday, 8 September – and residents are being asked to come up with this year’s musical theme.

The spectacular family-friendly celebrations will be held in Clissold Park, Stoke Newington, on Saturday 7 November, following last year’s sell-out success.

A children’s fun fair, street performers, and food and drink stalls are just some of the entertainment set to accompany the 2015 pyromusical which sees fireworks synchronised to music.

This year, the Council is inviting local residents to suggest music tracks and themes to help design the display. Last year’s was ‘fire and ice’.

Tickets for the show cost £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children who live in the borough; and £8.50 and £3.50 respectively for non-residents.

The Council is giving away 300 free tickets through two concessionary offers – 100 pairs can be won by Hackney residents, and 100 can be applied for by Hackney-based registered charities.

Cllr Jonathan McShane, Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care and Culture, Hackney Council
After the success of last year’s wonderful show we have decided to once again hold what is fast-becoming one of the highlights of the borough’s social calendar.

This year we’re asking residents to get directly involved in the show and decide the theme and what tracks they’d like to hear the fireworks set to.

“For those entering the ticket giveaways, I wish them the best of luck.
Cllr Jonathan McShane, Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care and Culture, Hackney Council

Gates open at 6pm and the display starts at 7.30pm. The display is 20 minutes and is suitable for all ages. Entertainment will be weather-dependant.

The fireworks show returned to the borough last year after an absence of around a decade.
