Faith leaders across Hackney are being invited to a seminar on the recent increase in gun and knife crime across London.

The Hackney Faith Community Network steering group, chaired by Cllr Etti, is organising the seminar in response to requests from members. The event is taking place at The Salvation Army, 70 Mare Street on Wednesday 6 June between 5-7pm.

Open to all faith leaders in Hackney the seminar will cover how to support residents and sign post to a range of services that are available to young people and their families who may be at risk of crime, as well as looking at what interventions work.

Faith leaders play a key role in our communities, with many already in contact with vulnerable young people and families. This seminar aims to give faith leaders the confidence and skills to know what to do in terms of supporting young people who are at risk.
