Get active and try something new on National Fitness Day. Hackney leisure centres are hosting a range of free events and taster sessions encouraging people to take up physical activity.

Three FREE classes will be taking place on Wednesday 7 September, including:

Kim Wright, Group Director, Neighbourhoods and Housing
National Fitness Day is a brilliant opportunity to improve physical fitness and have fun. The free sessions in leisure centres across Hackney are open to all, and we hope they will inspire residents to get moving, try something new, and commit to improving their fitness long term.

Tracey Crouch MP, Minister for Sport, said: "With lots of taster sessions and free events, National Fitness Day is a fantastic opportunity to encourage greater participation in physical activity, in line with our sports strategy. Sport and physical activity can have a really positive impact on people's lives, improving both physical and mental health - I hope as many people as possible get involved on the day."
