Hackney LIFe - specialist fostering scheme

Do you think you can offer a temporary home and hope to a troubled young person from Hackney?

If so then the Hackney LIFe fostering scheme may be for you. Hackney LIFe is an exciting and innovative six-month intensive Fostering programme for 10 to 15 year olds with significant emotional and behavioural needs.

The scheme is based on the proven successful approach of Social Learning Theory. It works by focuses on reinforcing desired behaviours by positive response and reward.

Households wishing to apply must have two adults. At least one of the adults must have a professional background or two years experience of working with young people, and be able provide full-time care.

If successful, carers will receive a professional fee, intensive training, and support from Hackney’s Fostering team whom they will work closely with on a daily basis.
