WoodStoke music festival hits Stoke Newington

As part of Hackney's Torch Rely celebrations Stoke Newington Town Hall is set to play host to its first music festival WoodStoke on 21 July.  The event includes a well-'stoked' bar, live music from five up and coming bands and a silent disco for festival goers to dance to their choice of two music styles until the early hours.

The festival will take place in the Art Deco splendour of the building's Assembly Rooms, which boasts the second largest glitter ball in Europe.  Bands performing at the event include Visitors, Elephant Twelve, Scott G, Statues of Us and The Fourfits.

Tickets for the event are £10pp and doors are 8pm - 2am (over 18s only).  For more information visit; www.hackney.gov.uk/snth-events.htm or call 0208 356 5211.  To purchase tickets for the event at Stoke Newington Town Hall or at http://woodstoke.eventbrite.com

The event will be covered by Distract TV, who film music events, bands and other cools things happening in London.
