There is still time to have your say on the future of health in Hackney

HWB

The Mayor of Hackney, Philip Glanville and Dr Rickets, Co-chairs of Hackney's Health and Wellbeing Board, on the Health and Wellbeing Strategy for 2022-26 - a plan showing an approach to reduce health inequalities and improve the health of people who live and work in Hackney. The insight gained from this survey will help set out the health and wellbeing priorities over the next four years.

Find out more and have your say now

We are writing to inform you that we are now coming to the end of our Health and Wellbeing Strategy consultation period. This process formally closes on 17th February 2022. Thank you all for your contributions to the consultation so far and your work to promote the consultation. We really value your thoughts and comments on our draft strategy. Developing an effective strategy is only possible with your ideas, engagement and our shared commitment, so I am delighted that so many residents and wider stakeholders have shared their thoughts to date.

We would like to hear from as many people as possible during the consultation phase so we would like to ask you to complete our quick consultation survey in the next week and remind your teams and networks about the consultation also.

What's the consultation about?

The Hackney Health and Wellbeing Board has drafted a Health and Wellbeing Strategy for 2022-2026. This has three key things we want to work on together, to improve health and reduce inequalities. These are: improving mental health, increasing social connection and supporting greater financial security. We want to find out if you agree with these priorities and if you have any suggestions for actions to improve these three priority areas within Hackney.

Your views matter, and we would like you to take part in this short survey which should take around 10 minutes to complete. You will find it helpful to take a look at the draft strategy here before completing this. Fill out the survey before 17th February 2022 here: Health and Wellbeing Strategy Consultation.

What happens after the consultation closes?

Your contributions and suggestions for actions will be analysed, with every comment submitted being reviewed by our consultation team. These suggestions will help us to build and co-produce an action plan with our residents and stakeholders that will aim to improve mental health, social connections and financial security among Hackney residents. Look out for updates as we progress through this next stage after March 2022, including the discussions we have signalled at the next Health and Wellbeing Board.

Thank you again for all your excellent contributions so far, also please continue your conversations about the emerging strategy in your own organisations. We are excited about the journey we have been on and what we will achieve together through this Strategy's work.
