Cllr Jonathan McShane, Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care and Culture said:

“This week saw the official launch of a new membership scheme called the Hackney Circle, an exciting programme of free events, activities and special offers that have been tailored for Hackney residents aged 60 and over.

“The Hackney Circle is nine-week pilot scheme which hopes to build friendships by providing social spaces with events across a range of different locations in and around Dalston Square. All Hackney Circle members will receive a booklet full of special offer vouchers for cafés, restaurants and leisure activities that will introduce residents to spaces where they may have never visited before to socialise with others from all age groups.
