Pride365 culture grants open to LGBTQIA+ residents, groups and organisations

As Pride Month 2023 comes to an end, Hackney Council is offering small grants of up to £1000 for Hackney’s LGBTQIA+ residents, community groups and organisations, to hold cultural events or activities during the following:
- Transgender Awareness Week (13-19 November 2023) or Transgender Day of Remembrance (20 November 2023)
- LGBT+ History Month 2024 (February 2024)
Grants can be given for community events, educational activities, film screenings, talks, walks, exhibitions, club nights, podcasts or reminisce sessions, and should involve LGBTQIA+ leadership or partnership.
Grants will be awarded for cultural activities and ideas that support or reflect the outcomes of Transgender Awareness Week, Transgender Day of Remembrance, or LGBT+ History Month 2024, and that successfully engage with Hackney’s creative community, venues and residents.
Applications should be submitted to Hackney Pride365 before midnight on Sunday 20 August.
On the eve of Pride London and at the end of Pride Month, it gives us great pride to be launching a new small grants programme to support our diverse LGBTQIA+ community to tell their stories. Hackney has a long history of empowering diverse communities and we are proud to be able to support LGBTQIA+ artists and residents to platform their voices through the PRIDE365 cultural grants scheme.
It is wonderful to see the development of this programme to encompass another key moment in the LGBTQIA+ calendar and offer grants specifically in response to Transgender Awareness Week and Transgender Day of Remembrance. We see this as an example of how Hackney can continue to support conversation, dialogue and equality through investment in culture, community and artists.
