The Speaker of Hackney, Cllr Sade Etti,
I’m really looking forward to getting involved and meeting people for afternoon tea to celebrate Silver Sunday for older people. It is a wonderful excuse to come together to meet and make new friends.

“Silver Sunday is great opportunity to celebrate older people and to remember the important role we can all play in supporting those who might be feeling lonely or isolated.
The Speaker of Hackney, Cllr Sade Etti,

Silver Sunday is The Sir Simon Milton Foundation’s annual national celebration of older people and their contribution to their communities. Through a variety of free activities Silver Sunday is offering people a chance to keep active in body and spirit, try new things, meet their neighbours and, ultimately, overcome loneliness.
