HBV Enterprise Centre, 34-38 Dalston Lane, London, E8 3AZ

Small and medium sized businesses in Hackney are invited to attend a series of networking events run by the Hackney Enterprise Network to find out how it could help them to win more business.

Hackney Enterprise Network (HEN) is run by HBV Enterprise on behalf of Hackney Council and offers tailored support and advice designed to help local entrepreneurs to make new contacts, enter new markets, grow and fund their businesses.

The evenings of business to business networking will include tips on sales and marketing, most effective ways to fill in application forms, running a business operation and more.

Support from HEN includes business to business networking events, business skills workshops, advice on enterprise growth, access to loans and small grants, advice for businesses hit by the economic crisis, and access to business information and initiatives from central Government.

Steve Douglas, Hackney Council’s Corporate Director of Neighbourhoods and Regeneration, said: "Small and medium sized businesses and entrepreneurship are at the heart of Hackney’s local economy. In these tough economic times, the Council is pleased to provide additional support to local businesses through the Hackney Enterprise Network, which offers networking opportunities, funding advice, and a range of other services to increase the competitiveness of local business."

Richard Abbott, Chief Executive of HBV Enterprise, said: “We aim to make Hackney Enterprise Network THE gateway to all the right connections for Hackney’s businesses. This couldn’t come at a better time for local businesses looking to survive and grow.”

Businesses should register their interest in attending the Hackney Enterprise Network (HEN) events by calling: 020 7241 7066, or e-mailing: hen@hbv.org.uk
