Free group cycle training!

Looking to build confidence on two-wheels?

The Council is partnering with Cycle Confident to offer a range of free group training courses aimed at getting children and adults cycling more.

The courses, which are for children aged 5 and upwards who want to learn to ride, and adults who want to learn to ride or improve their on or off-road cycling skills, take place in February and March in Hackney Downs.

Children’s Learn to Ride courses take place every Sunday until the end of March and are suitable for children who have never ridden a bike or who would like to come off stabilisers.

Adult courses, which range from learning to ride to on-road courses, take place on the following dates:

  • Saturday 24 February (9.30 – 11.30am: Learn to Ride, 12 – 2pm: Off-Road)
  • Saturday 10 March (9.30am – 2pm: On-Road)
  • Saturday 24 March (9.30 – 11.30am: Learn to Ride, 12 – 2pm: Off-Road).

Adult bikes are available to borrow on a first-come-first-served basis.
