Free event for Hackney leaseholders and freeholders

Open Day cropped

Hackney’s leaseholders and freeholders can learn more about what services the Council and others have to offer at a free open day event on 9 September 2017.

Taking place from 11am to 4pm at The Urswick School, Hackney Central, staff from the Council and a host of other organisations will be available to discuss support and services available to leaseholders and freeholders.

The open day will feature a number of Council teams, such as: cleaning, repairs, leasehold, anti-social behaviour, recycling, private sector housing and resident participation.

Other organisations available to speak to at the event include: The Leasehold Advisory Service, SHINE Fuel Poverty and Hackney Community Law.

The open day will also include a number of specialist workshops of interest to leaseholders and freeholders, such as communal cleaning, as well as activities including free massages and a children’s entertainer.

Cllr Clayeon McKenzie, Cabinet Member for Housing Services
This open day is a great opportunity for freeholders and leaseholders to speak to Council staff about the many services available to them, while attending a number of informative workshops and finding out what support is available from other organisations.
