A spectacle of colour and music is set to wow the borough in November with the return of the Hackney Fireworks display.

The family-friendly celebrations will be held in Clissold Park, Stoke Newington, on Saturday 4 November, following on from last year’s sell-out success.

Mood lighting will give the park a magical atmosphere, while street-based performances will animate the pathways around the park. A children’s funfair and food and drink stalls will also accompany the 2017 pyromusical display which will see fireworks synchronised to music.

The theme for this year is ‘The Movies’, and residents are encouraged to dress up as their favourite characters, be it a Minion, Elsa from Frozen, Ron from Harry Potter or even a spooky clown!

Tickets for the display are now available and can be purchased through Eventbrite. Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children who live in the borough; and £8.50 and £3.50 respectively for non-residents.

The Council once again giving away 300 free tickets through two offers: one for residents and one for Hackney-based registered charities. Tickets have been allocated on the ticketing website to purchase for free, tickets will be allocated on a first come basis, simply select the ‘Free Resident Ticket’ option. The offer will expire once all free places have been taken. Maximum of two tickets per person.

Hackney-based registered charities are also invited to apply for 100 free tickets for their service users. Email park.events@hackney.gov.uk with the name of the organisation, registered charity number, postcode, and subject title ‘Concessionary Tickets’.
