Can you make a difference to Hackney Homes Board?

Hackney Homes will shortly be holding an election for a resident from the Stoke Newington Neighbourhood to join the Board.

The elected member will provide a resident perspective during board discussions and should have a desire for self development and commitment to Hackney Homes’ core vision and values.

The Board is a mix of elected   Residents, Council nominees and appointed Independents with skills and experience in housing and business issues.  They meet every six to eight weeks and have three sub-committees which focus on audit and finance, human resources and standards and ethics. Each board member is expected to sit on one subcommittee.

Residents will be asked to vote on who they think best represents them in July.

The deadline for submission of nominations is Monday 10 June 2013.  For more information about Hackney Homes Board and about the election please visit www.hackneyhomes.org.uk/index/ha-meet-the-board.htm.
