Mayor of Hackney Philip Glanville and Cllr Carole Williams, Cabinet Member for Employment, Skills and HR, recently visited the construction company Build East on-site skills centre. 

Here they met learners and apprentices, and heard about the site’s aim to deliver training for local residents, and focus on under-represented groups. Build East aims to provide a hands-on learning experience for residents, and support their pathways into local construction jobs. The company also works on skills gaps in the sector, from green skills to digital construction and specialist trades.
