Badge making at Homerton Library

More than twenty children took part in a badge making session at Homerton Library, part of a summer of activities.

Children drew their own designs and used cuts outs from magazines to make their creative masterpieces.

Rosa Bayliss, 8, said: “I really enjoyed making my badges, it was a lot of fun.”

Rosa’s dad, Simon Bayliss, said: “We use the libraries a lot, the resources are fantastic. Libraries are amazing but still so under used.”

Stacy White, 29, who was there with her three-year-old son Di’sean Bramble, said: “He’s had so much fun today making his badges. We come to the library a lot as Di’sean loves it. He loves books and stories and it’s also a chance to meet other children.”

Check out the sessions and activities that are on at Hackney’s libraries over the coming weeks.
