Animal theme announced for Hackney Fireworks Show

Residents can still get tickets for this year's Hackney Fireworks Show on Saturday 5 November.

The event, set to be a stunning spectacle of pyrotechnics synchronized to music, is back at Clissold Park, in Stoke Newington, for the third year running.

This year's theme is 'animals', and residents are encouraged to channel their wild side and dress up as their favorite animals- be it Simba from 'The Lion King', Shere Khan from 'The Jungle Book' or just a cheeky monkey.

The fireworks have been specially tested to ensure the welfare of animals in the park; they are low noise so all wild things will have an enjoyable experience on the night.

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children who live in the borough; and £8.50 and £3.50 respectively for non-residents.

Gates open at 5.30pm and the display starts at 7pm.
