Wednesday night is Girls Night at Parkside

Girls and young women turned out in their numbers to welcome the return of the popular weekly sessions that will provide them with an exciting assortment of activities at Parkside Youth Centre last Wednesday, 8 October.

The Girls Night project was re-launched by guest speaker Magdalene Royer, Youth Service Locality Manager, bringing together girls and young women living in and around Hackney’s Woodberry Down area to take part in an action-packed evening with activities and workshops celebrating opportunities and providing inspiration for young people in the borough.

“It was wonderful to see so many young people participating and enjoying the range of activities on offer," said Magdalene. "We look forward to them spreading the word and encouraging others to engage in the many opportunities provided by Hackney’s Youth Service across the borough. “

Girls Night, a joint initiative between the Council s Youth Service and Hackney Homes, will take place every Wednesday, 6-8.30pm, at Parkside Youth Centre, Woodberry Grove, N4 1SN.

Young people will be provided with the opportunity to take part in an exciting assortment of activities and workshops ranging from confidence building and drama to self defence, art and filmmaking, fashion and design, photography and trips.
