Up to £30,000 funding available for community projects in Hackney

Hackney Town Hall

Applications for Hackney’s A Place for Everyone Main Grant Programme 2018/19 are now open, and will close midday on Wednesday 19 September.

Voluntary and community groups can apply for funding from £5,000 up to £30,000 for initiatives that will be delivered for 1 year. Initiatives should:

•promote social inclusion, encourage independence and develop personal resilience

•build positive relations between different groups and communities that will maintain the high levels of community cohesion in Hackney

In addition, organisations can make a second application for holiday playschemes which deliver high-quality initiatives for children and young people during the school holidays.

Cllr Caroline Selman, Community safety, policy, and the voluntary sector
The work that the voluntary and community sector delivers through their grants helps provide for projects such as employment advice, safety improvements and health advice for our residents. This year’s programme has so far supported 83 organisations. Spread the word and let us help you thrive, taking your ideas and assisting to make them happen.
