THIS HAS NOW SOLD OUT

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's the Hackney Fireworks Show!

The chosen-by-residents theme for this year’s display of colour and music, sure to light up the dark night, is superheroes.

The pyromusical returns to Stoke Newington’s Clissold Park, on Saturday 7 November, following last year’s flyaway success.

Residents are being encouraged to marvel at the family-friendly fireworks which will be expertly choreographed to a mix of some of the most classic superhero tracks - and those going are being urged to join the capers and come dressed as their all-time favourites.

Who remembers the original Batman theme? Or perhaps something a bit darker like Thor’s? These tracks and many more will accompany the fireworks, all assembled and choreographed by an award-winning pyrotechnics company.

Supermen, Wonder Women, Batmen, Cat Women - even Bananamen - are all welcome, so come dressed to impress.

Cllr Jonathan McShane, Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care and Culture, Hackney Council
Everyone has a favourite superhero, so be sure to get your outfits out, your masks on, to not only join the fun but be part it.

We look forward to recreating the magic of last year’s show and wish everyone who goes this November a super night.
Cllr Jonathan McShane, Cabinet Member for Health, Social Care and Culture, Hackney Council

Children’s funfair rides, themed entertainment and food and drink stalls complete the line-up for what will be a night to remember.

Hackney Council is also looking for its own supermen and women – this time as volunteers to help host the event.

Friendly and enthusiastic people are being sought to undertake the following roles, between 5pm and 8.30pm on the evening:

  • Meet and greet marshals
  • Manning way-finder points
  • Marshalling audience and performance areas

All volunteers will be offered two free tickets for family and friends in return for their time.

For more information, or to register your interest, please contact Nick Thompson by phone: 020 8356 4309; or email:nick.thompson@hackney.gov.uk
