Support and advice for young parents in Hackney

Are you a young parent looking to meet other young mums and dads and get information to help with a variety of subjects including health and childcare? Then why not come along to a free event on Wednesday 9 June at the Linden Centre in Stoke Newington?

Organised by the Hackney Teenage Pregnancy partnership, Parent with Prospects is a free event for young parents in the borough aged 16-19. It’s an opportunity to get advice and support on a number of topics, including childcare and benefits; education and training opportunities; ways back into work, health; and services available through children’s centres.

The event will include a free buffet lunch, kid’s entertainment, free goodie bag for every parent and much more. Young parents will also be able to enjoy a free head and neck massage and register for a free training course for parents.

Councillor Rita Krishna, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “This is worthwhile event that will allow young parents to meet and share experiences, and find out more about the many resources available to them in the Hackney.”

Open to all young parents in Hackney aged 16-19 years old, Parents with Prospects will be held at the Linden Centre, 86-89 Rectory Road, N16 7SH, 11am-3pm on Wednesday 9 June.
