People invited to have their say on their local pharmacy service in Hackney

Residents are being asked to help shape the future of pharmacy services across Hackney as part of a review.

The review looks at the key health needs in the borough, the number of existing community pharmacies and how accessible they are for local communities.

People are invited to share their views in a consultation which runs from 11 December 2017 to 9 February 2018.

A Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) has to be produced every three years. People are being consulted about the draft PNA to ensure their views are heard, before it is finally published at the end of March 2018.

Currently there are 49 community pharmacies in Hackney and the majority - 43 (88%) - are open weekday evenings after 6pm, 37 (75%) are open on Saturdays and eight (16%) are open on Sunday.

To take part in the survey go to: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HackneyConsultation

The draft PNA is available at https://consultation.hackney.gov.uk/public-health/hackney-pharmaceutical-needs-assessment-2018.
