Local businesses invited to meet the buyer event

LOCAL businesses are being invited to attend an event to find out more about bidding for construction-related contracts from Hackney Council.

Last year the Council spent around £10 million on construction works and related services, and as one of the host boroughs for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games this figure is set to increase.

Small and medium-sized enterprises can register to attend Hackney’s free Selling to East London event on 31 March at Shoreditch Town Hall, between 10am and 2pm, to ensure they make the most of these upcoming opportunities.

You can meet buyers face-to-face, and discuss how to bid for contracts with representatives from more around 20 partner organisations, including Hackney Council; Constructionline, Connaught Partnerships Ltd; Hackney Homes; Newham Council; Willmott Dixon Construction Ltd; and Morrison Facilities Services Ltd.

To request a booking form for this free event, which is co-sponsored by Hackney Council and Constructionline, contact Procurement Support on 020 8356 3448 or email procurement.admin@hackney.gov.uk
