Learn how to test your business ideas by taking them to market

Hackney’s growing army of entrepreneurs is invited to investigate the possibilities offered by market trading by taking part in a free workshop.

The workshop offers vital information on food hygiene, pitch costs, visual merchandising, customer care, pricing, health and safety and more. Hackney Council is staging it in conjunction with the charity Community Links.

The session is the first to be offered by the Council’s market services and it is aimed at Hackney’s increasing number of young entrepreneurs.

Councillor Feryal Demirci, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods
We have flourishing and vibrant markets in Hackney, as well as a growing army of entrepreneurs. I would thoroughly recommend this workshop to our enterprising residents. Markets are an ideal, cheap and flexible way for new businesses to try out new ventures without having to make a risky investment in expensive premises. They are a great way to test consumer appetite for products and to change and adapt your business accordingly.
Councillor Feryal Demirci, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods

The street marketing workshop is at The Tomlinson Centre, Queensbridge Road, Hackney, on 15 April , 2pm to 5pm.
