How to Meet a Buyer - Networking for all small businesses in Hackney

Hackney Enterprise Network event

Date: Thurs 24 June
Time: 6 to 8pm
Venue: HBV Enterprise Centre, 34-38 Dalston Lane, London, E8 3AZ

Small and medium sized businesses in Hackney are invited to attend a networking event run by the Hackney Enterprise Network to find out how to prepare and get the most out of meeting buyers.

The evening of business to business networking will include advice on how to meet a buyer, what preparations to make and the chance to learn from the experience of others, including Tim Gordon from support organisation Business to Business.

Hackney Enterprise Network (HEN) is run by HBV Enterprise on behalf of Hackney Council and offers tailored support and advice designed to help local entrepreneurs to make new contacts, enter new markets, grow and fund their businesses.

Support from HEN includes business to business networking events, business skills workshops, advice on enterprise growth, access to loans and small grants, advice for businesses hit by the economic crisis, and access to business information and initiatives from central Government.

Jules Pipe, Mayor of Hackney, said: "Small and medium sized businesses and entrepreneurship are at the heart of Hackney’s local economy. In these tough economic times, the Council is pleased to provide additional support to local businesses through the Hackney Enterprise Network.”

Richard Abbott, Chief Executive of HBV Enterprise, said: “Hackney Enterprise Network is here to give local businesses all the right connections. Understanding how to prepare to get the most from meeting buyers can help you put your business in a strong position to really grow.”

Businesses should register their interest in attending the Hackney Enterprise Network (HEN) event by calling: 020 7241 7066, or e-mailing: hen@hbv.org.uk
