It outlines what the Council hopes to achieve in the next ten years in terms of how residents get around the borough and the impact that has on people’s lives and the environment. It confronts a range of problems facing Hackney at the moment and what is likely to cause issues in the future, from our rapidly-growing population to the rapidly-growing waistlines of our children. But it also seeks to build on a wealth of positives the Council has achieved, including our improved walking rates, as well as our position as London’s foremost ‘Cycling Borough’.
