Get quality checked affordable second-hand bikes at a series of cycle pop-ups this month

De_08Y1WsAEnUNQ

Local people will be able to pick up great quality and affordable second-hand bikes at a series of pop-up markets hitting the borough this month.

The markets, which are supported by the Council and run by cycling organisation Peddle My Wheels, mean that local people can get great deals on checked and tested second-hand bikes.

There will be four pop-up markets: on 19 March at London Fields Primary School; 21 March at Homerton Hospital, 26 March at Orchard Primary School and 31 March at Clapton Common. The Homerton Hospital and Clapton Common markets are 10am-4pm, and the London Fields and Orchard primary schools markets are 8am - 4.30pm.

People can pre-order bikes for sale at peddlemywheels.com/market-order-form. Anyone with a bike they want to sell can also visit the market to sell it. All of these bikes will be serviced and re-sold at the market.

Cllr Feryal Demirci, Deputy Mayor
One of our main transport ambitions is to get even more people cycling and to continue to be London’s capital of cycling. This reclaims our borough from cars, improves air quality and helps to improve residents' health.

We’re always looking for more ways to make cycling as accessible as possible, and these pop-up markets provide an amazing way for people to pick up affordable serviced bikes.
