Get on your bike in Hackney during Bike Week 2008

Hackney residents are being encouraged to get on their bikes during national Bike Week 2008 (14 to 22 June).

Hackney Council, in conjunction with the London Cycling Campaign in Hackney, will be holding a number of cycling events throughout the borough during the week.

Cllr Alan Laing, Hackney Council Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, said: “Hackney has been voted best bike borough and recognised for our excellent cycle routes. Cycling is a great way to keep fit and to do your bit to help make Hackney a greener, cleaner place. I would encourage residents to go along to one of the events during Bike Week and to find out about free cycle training.”
