Free Fitness in Hackney Parks

Getting fit and healthy couldn't be easier as Hackney Council gets set to roll out free fitness classes in parks across the borough this summer.   

Those tired of solo jogs or who want a change from the gym can now book from a series of fun and invigorating group sessions, including boot camp and box fit, in one of eight parks between 28 July and 5 October. 

But it's not all star jumps and squats, there is something for everyone, with dance fit, hula hoop fitness, yoga and more, also on the agenda. Most of the activities are for those aged 16+ but there are also family as well as women-only sessions. 

The classes, which offer light to moderate workouts, will take place at: Clissold Park, Hackney Downs, London Fields, Mabley Green, Millfields, Shoreditch Park, Springfield Park, St John's Churchyard.

Four hours of free activities will take place every week during the 10-week programme.  

Qualified and experienced leaders will take the classes to help you get the most from your workout.
