Free bike checks to keep you cycling safely in 2017

cyclepitstop1.jpg

Get 2017 off to a smooth start with a free bike check at one of Hackney Council’s cycle pit stops. Whether you have a brand new bike that needs a once over, or an old bike in need of some TLC, Hackney Council’s bike mechanics will be on hand to keep you safe and your bike in good condition.

The Metropolitan Police will also be on hand to security mark bikes so that they can be identified and returned to owners if stolen.

Even if you don’t have a bike pop down to the pit stop for advice on how to start cycling in Hackney and make it a habit for the New Year. We offer free cycle training sessions for adults and families to get you confident on the roads and knowing the best and quietest routes throughout the borough.

Cycle pit stops:

  • Thursday 19 January
    4-7pm
    Millfields Park
    (No bike marking)

  • Tuesday 14 February
    4-7pm
    Butterfield Green
    Wordsworth Road

  • Thursday 9 March
    4-7pm
