Find out more at Hackney 2012 community meeting

Hackney Council is inviting residents to a 2012 community meeting it is holding on Thurs 18 March where they can find out about opportunities, the impact of the Games on their lives, transport issues and more.

It is being held at Hackney Wick Community Centre, 80 Eastway, E9 5JH from 4pm to 8pm, with presentations at around 6.30pm.

Residents can drop in to meet and hear from the Olympic Park Legacy Company, the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, the Olympic Delivery Authority, Hackney Council and Westfield.

It is also a chance to see the Changing Lives photographic exhibition and to enter a Nintendo Wii Olympics competition with £100 sports vouchers up for grabs.

Cllr Guy Nicholson, Hackney Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration and the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, said: “The 2012 Games are fast approaching and now is the time for residents to find out about new opportunities for them to become involved with volunteering, training courses, jobs, sports and more. I would encourage as many people as possible to drop in to our community meeting.”
