Council serves up new facilities to nurture Hackney tennis stars of the future

Work is underway on brand new facilities for tennis players at Cllissold Park.

Hackney Council is building a new tennis clubhouse that will include changing facilities, a kitchen, meeting rooms, office space and a small tennis shop as well as floodlighting for the courts.

Currently tennis in Clissold Park is managed from portable cabins located near the courts.

The improvement project is a partnership scheme involving the Council, Hackney City Tennis Club, the Lawn Tennis Association and the Mayor of London’s Facilities Fund.

This is yet another example of us investing in facilities to help Hackney people get active. I can’t wait to see tennis players of all ages enjoying these facilities this summer
