Clissold Leisure Centre success

Two months on since the revamped Clissold Leisure Centre opened its doors to the public, the centre is proving to be a hit with residents.

Around 2500 new gym members have joined the centre since it opened on December 15, and there have been around 5200 swims recorded by centre managers, Greenwich Leisure Limited. The Toddler Pool and group exercise classes are proving particularly popular. Schools and swimming clubs have also been enjoying the improved facilities.

Cllr Nargis Khan, Cabinet Member for Community Services said: “Demand for the centre has exceeded our expectations and it is good to see that residents are enjoying this facility again.”
